The Happy Potter

For more than 20 years, clay has been the center of my creative life. I create artistic and functional wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery with a focus on pieces that feel good in the hand and meaningful in the home. Each form carries a quiet, simple elegance that reflects the earth it comes from and the people who will use it. I find deep joy in transforming a ball of clay into a vessel that becomes part of someone’s everyday rituals.

In the community, I volunteer at School in the Woods for their annual tile project, working with students as they experiment, take risks, and discover what they can create beyond their comfort zones.

I received my formal training in ceramics at the University of Denver and continue to grow my practice through workshops and conferences in the United States and abroad. Learning from other artists and traditions keeps my studio work evolving and inspired.

I love sharing my work in regional exhibitions and have participated in both the Art All Around Studio Tour and the Pikes Peak Studio Tour. I am a member of Gallery 113, and my pottery is also available at Auric Gallery—both located in downtown Colorado Springs.
