The Happy Potter
I have focused my passion on artistic and functional wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery for over 20 years. My pieces express a simple and delicate touch reflective of the very earth from which they are shaped. I find tremendous joy and inspiration turning a ball of clay into an artistic vessel that someone will use and enjoy.
In the community: I love volunteering at Eagleview Middle School, assisting 8th grade art students learn to throw on the potter's wheel. I also love helping the 4th graders at School in the Woods with their yearly clay tile project.
I received my formal training in ceramics and studied many artistic forms, including photography and painting, while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Denver. I continually refine my pottery skills at workshops and conferences around the country.
I love to exhibit in regional shows and am a member of
Gallery 113 and Arati Artists Gallery. You can also find my pottery in Kreuser Gallery.
