The Happy Potter
I have focused my passion on artistic and functional wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery for over 20 years. My pieces express a simple and delicate touch reflective of the very earth from which they are shaped. I find tremendous joy and inspiration turning a ball of clay into an artistic vessel that someone will use and enjoy.
In the community: Every year I volunteer at School in the Woods and Eagleview Middle School. Although very different projects (making tiles with 4th graders & wheel throwing with 8th graders), I love working with all the kids, often helping them explore beyond their comfort zones.
I received my formal training in ceramics at the University of Denver and I continually refine my pottery skills at workshops and conferences around the country.
I love to exhibit in regional shows and am a member of
Poor Richard's (pop up gallery in Rico's) and
Reserve - Our Gallery in Woodland Park.
